Danny Dennis
Danny was a Tsimshian Native of the Gitksan village of Kitwanga Frog Clan located on the banks of the Skeena River in northern British Columbia. He was born in Port Essington, British Columbia in 1951.
Danny began his study and creation of Northwest Coast Native art in 1978 at the age of 27. Although Danny was self taught, he was inspired by master artists Frances Williams, Robert Davidson, and Bill Read. In addition to prints, he worked in silver, gold, and fossilized ivory. Danny had feature exhibits in many Northwest art galleries as well as a show in Germany.
Danny passed away in 2012 at the age of 61.
